The 99th Canton Fair successfully closed and made record high in many areas.
In the 99th session of the CECF, the number of buyers from 211 countries and regions reaches 190,011, increased by 7.2% over the 98th session.
Both the numbers of regular buyers and new buyers to the Fair keep increasing. Specifically, the total number of new buyers reaches 88,710, increased by 8.3%; regular buyers 101,301, increased by 6.3%.
Eighty-one famous multinational retailers attend the Fair, fourteen of which are among the top 20 retailers of the world. Among them, 11 retailers are qualified to enjoy the Multinationals Sourcing Service.
The total turnover of this session reaches USD 32.22 billion, with an increase of 9.5% over the last session. This total turnover, exceeding USD 30 billion for the first time, also hit a historical high.
Apart from the above, E-commerce plays an active role in the export transaction. Up to 16:00 pm, April 29, the total visiting number of the government websites of Canton Fair reaches 110 million, increased by 11.6% over last session; the intent-transaction made on the Online-Canton Fair reaches USD 420 million, increased by 10.5% against the last session.
The Fair has further enlarged the Brand Product Zone, in which the number of booths reaches 4,182, accounting for 14% of the total number. 808 brand name enterprises exhibit their products in the Fair. The turnover of the Brand Product Zone reaches USD 8.25 billion, accounting for 25.6% of the total turnover, increased by 2.7% over the 98th session.
The organizer have engaged in implementing the Measures for the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights during Exhibitions and strengthening the protection of IPR. According to the statistics, this session has received 472 complaints concerning IPR infringement. There are 743 enterprises being complained, reduced by 9.6% over last session. The infringement of IPR has been identified within 419 enterprises, 7.7% less than last session.
